Abstract:
Have your learners ever looked to the one-way mirror in your control room when speaking to their patient? Providing simulations with authentic conversations and full learner buy-in is difficult in the absence of a human patient. Avkin’s education team will discuss fidelity in simulation, incorporating fidelity into product design, and how adding simulated participants with wearable simulators can improve many facets of simulation-based learning illustrated by a demonstration of the Avbirth wearable birthing simulator.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe how fidelity impacts simulation.
- Understand the relevance of incorporating current educators in product development.
- Discuss ways to increase fidelity within simulation programs by incorporating Simulated Participants and the use of wearable simulators.
