Abstract:
The global COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the challenges of providing students with authentic opportunities for workplace-based learning. At Liverpool John Moores University, academic staff on the undergraduate Master of Pharmacy programme developed, piloted and implemented a range of experiences for students, designed to simulate a wide range of “day in the life” experiences for students in a variety of settings.
Learn how the team at Liverpool John Moores University implemented immersive, student-led clinical simulation events that could take place regardless of date, time and setting by creating custom patients across a variety of presenting conditions and clinical settings.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn how digital patients can be integrated into a school’s curriculum.
- Learn how creating custom patient scenarios enhance a school’s curriculum.
- Learn how a school started a simulation lab from scratch.
