Meet the Presenter(s):

Elizabeth Robison EdD, MSN, RN, CNE, CHSE-A
Professor Emeritus/Consultant at Northwest Florida State College / Robison Consulting, LLC

Dr Liz Robison is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced, with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, as well as a Certified Nurse Educator with the National League for Nursing. She is a past board member of INACSL and currently is a board member of the Florida Center of Nursing, Well-being Advisory Board. She was the INACSL board appointee for the Environmental Sustainability SIG when they were established in 2021, then transitioned to a member role after her INACSL board tenure. She also volunteers with the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing as the co-chair of their Simulation Committee. She has been involved with aspects of simulation since 2009, initially as part of her clinical instruction role, then became the college’s first simulation coordinator with their newly built center. She has presented on a variety of topics in nursing education and healthcare simulation via webinars, conferences, and workshops. She is a military veteran, having served in the US Air Force Nurse Corps for 22 years and retired from a state college after almost 16 years in their prelicensure nursing education degree track. She is now an independent consultant, working with nursing programs both stateside and internationally on a variety of topics from nursing curriculum, healthcare simulation, and use of generative Artificial Intelligence.

Jessica Marsack, PhD, BSN, CMSRN PhD, BSN, CMSRN
Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Michigan School of Nursing

Dr. Marsack’s research has focused on the effect of stigma and discrimination on various health outcomes for sexual and gender minority persons. She is committed to promoting DEI initiatives to benefit this population and has served on the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association’s nursing section. Her interests also include end-of-life care which she deals with in her clinical practice. She works clinically in adult internal medicine at Michigan Medicine with an expertise specialty in providing peritoneal dialysis. Dr. Marsack provides medical-surgical clinical instruction to undergraduate nursing students at Michigan Medicine. Her clinical instruction encompasses a perspective of holistic care for diverse patient populations. She finds it personally rewarding to share her knowledge and to teach the methods needed to translate nursing theory into clinical practice. She has been a member of the INACSL Environmental Sustainability SIG since its inception in April 2021 taking over as Chair in 2023.

Melissa A. Bathish PhD, RN, CPNP-PC
Clinical Associate Professor & Director Clinical Learning Center at University of Michigan School of Nursing

Dr. Bathish’s professional and academic career focuses on simulation- based education as an elemental pedagogical approach in the development of critical clinical and decision-making skills. Dr. Bathish is Co-Director of the Clinical Learning Center and the Undergraduate Faculty Lead for clinical learning and simulation. She has been involved in simulation education for nursing students since 2008 and was a member of the original simulation task force at the School of Nursing. Her scholarship is centered on preparing the next generation of nurses through experiential learning deliberate practice and innovative simulation- based learning methods and technologies. She is particularly interested in educational outcomes of simulation-based education and supporting faculty in implementing simulation experiences through her leadership role in the Clinical Learning Center. Her efforts regarding environmental sustainability in healthcare simulation was the impetus for applying and starting the INACSL Environmental Sustainability SIG in April 2021.

Melissa Bodi BSN, RN, CHSOS
Director of Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center at Rivier University

Melissa is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in nursing with the last 7 years focused on nursing simulation. She currently serve as the Director of the Rivier University Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center in Nashua NH. Before joining Rivier she worked as a community health nurse in various settings including primary care home health and school nursing. Melissa is passionate about simulation education since being introduced to it at Rivier University in 2017. Since then she has been dedicated to enhancing nursing education through innovative and engaging simulation experiences. Melissa has been an active member of the INACSL Environmental Sustainability SIG.
