Abstract:
We’ve all seen the ubiquitous presence and rapid improvement of smart speakers in society. But is that technology ready for health care simulation environments? Join Amin Azzam, MD, MA and PCS teammates to see how Spark has been successfully piloted at Samuel Merritt University across nursing, physician assistant and nurse practitioner programs over the past 3 years. This webinar will provide a demonstration of how SMU faculty utilized the PCS digital patient platform to increase learner performance across multiple different healthcare professions. This presentation will cover both the design of the pilot and how it was constructed, and also the results for the respective nursing, and physician assistant cohorts.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the benefits of artificial intelligence in healthcare simulation through the PCS training tool.
- Explore the current and future uses of artificial intelligence in medical student education.
- Engage with educators in how to leverage artificial intelligence and virtual reality technology as an educational accelerant.
