As the Director of Innovative Teaching & Learning at River Parishes Community College (RPCC), James McCrary’s most recent project is the development of a Virtual Reality Simulation Lab to complement the VR Mobile Sim Lab at RPCC. With over 50 pre-built scenarios, nursing instructors and their Practical Nursing students can get started in VR immediately at the same time as the nursing faculty works with McCrary’s Department of Innovative Teaching & Learning to develop custom VR simulations that better represent the situations that LPNs working in South Louisiana will encounter. With over 20 years of experience in education and a strong background in 3D development for Augmented and Virtual Reality with a focus on immersive technologies, McCrary develops and facilitates immersive learning experiences throughout the United States.
