Abstract:
Since Purdue Global began integrating virtual reality (VR) into its nursing program, approximately 4,000 graduate nurses have benefited from this innovative approach. The data for graded simulations within the first year demonstrated that 92% of students self-reported that using PCS Spark helped prepare them for clinical practice.
Join us for an insightful webinar featuring Abbey Elliott and Kim Burtch from Purdue Global, where they will delve into their pioneering use of VR in the nursing curriculum. During this session, Abbey and Kim will share key highlights of their journey, including the successes and challenges they have faced. They will provide an in-depth look at the lessons learned and how these experiences have shaped their approach to nursing education.
Following their presentation, Nick Stoick from PCS will offer a brief demonstration of PCS Spark, one of the VR applications utilized in Purdue Global’s curriculum. This demonstration will showcase how PCS Spark is used to enhance the training and preparedness of graduate nurses, providing a glimpse into the future of nursing education.
