Training the non-dominant hand in realistic simulation exercises has a clear benefit to improving ambidextrous skills, which are particularly important in laparoscopic surgery. Research also demonstrates that systematic non-dominant hand training can result in bilateral transfer; improving psychomotor skills on the dominant hand. Dr. Martina Vitz will demonstrate a unique form of non-dominant hand training using laparoscopic training procedures on simulated situs inversus patients.
