Abstract:
This webinar will introduce you to the recognized method for performing clinical breast exams. It will illustrate the learning procedure that is used with tactually accurate breast models. It covers the research that led MammaCare to validate the current practice of clinical breast exams worldwide. Building a successful foundation for evidence-based breast examination begins at the undergraduate level – this presentation introduces MammaCare’s “Essentials of Breast Exam” course designed for undergraduate nursing programs. The webinar reviews the elements of the online course including breast health and breast awareness content authored by academic and clinical experts. The course guides students through hands-on practice with standard MammaCare Teaching Models that teach the difference between the feeling of normal nodularity and suspicious lumps while shaping essential palpation skills.
