Abstract:
With Virtual Reality (VR) -based training becoming more and more popular in clinical education and training, there is a growing focus on its use cases and competency development. At Lumeto, we understand that everyone learns differently and competency development is not linear. After two very successful webinars “Demonstrating Clinical Knowledge Improvement with VR-Based Training Using InvolveXR” and “Effective VR Sim Lab Integration Across Clinical Disciplines with InvolveXR from Lumeto“, we continue to discuss effective integration VR-based training, this time focusing on an adaptive training approach for healthcare learners. In this webinar, Gena MacKinnon, RN, BScN, will elaborate how VR-training can be made adaptive based on learners’ competency levels. She will delve into this through the lens of some use cases for different learner groups such as NCLEX-based training for pre-licensure Nursing learners, TeamSTEPPS and similar for IPE training, etc. with distinct examples for each. We will also showcase a highly customizable VR solution, including a LLM-based Conversational AI responsive Patient with customizable prompts. Tune in to get an exciting perspective of the near future of healthcare training and how it can help improve access to effective competency building towards the global goal of improving patient safety.
