Abstract:
As Virtual Reality (VR) based training in healthcare evolves, the two questions that largely loom are ” How can we meaningfully integrate VR with our existing education program?” and “How can we find a VR solution that fits our different needs?” At Lumeto, we’re creating a flexible and capability-rich VR Simulation Lab, InvolveXR, that enables rich Learning Experiences that cater to different learners and programs, all on the same platform.
Join us on this webinar, where we will showcase Learning Pathways that can be easily integrated into both didactic and sim-based learning in your program, increasing the opportunities for learners to learn by exploring and doing. You’ll see examples of how institutions are using our platform across programs. We will demonstrate the robust capabilities that provide educators the freedom to create their immersive Learning Experiences, enable learners to develop critical thinking and cognitive decision making skills through individual and group experiences and have meaningful assessment and debrief metrics. And how all this can be done from anywhere in the world.
InvolveXR was put to test when the American College of CHEST Physicians (CHEST) ran an IRB-approved study of a VR-based Difficult Airway Management training across 3 institutions: Mayo Clinic, NYU and Wake Forest with 39 learners from diverse clinical backgrounds including Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, Critical Care Nurses, Medical Residents. The results were profound and significant. In just a 25 minute session, learners saw a relative 16% increase in procedural knowledge. Among Residents, they had a 26% increase in procedural knowledge. Imagine what continuous training would result in. Join the webinar to learn more about how InvolveXR can enable integration of easy and effective VR-based immersive training into your programs.
