Abstract:
This webinar will introduce The International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS) is a global community of pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric nurses, advanced practice providers, educators, and other allied health professionals from over 30 countries. These members are all dedicated to improving the care of infants and children worldwide through multi-disciplinary, simulation-based education, training, and research in pediatric simulation. The IPSS organization and its volunteer leadership strive to bring the knowledge and skills we have gained to the widest possible audience and welcome all healthcare professionals who care for children and infants regardless of where you practice.
To carry forward the IPSS mission and vision, the organization conducts an annual conference know as the International Pediatric Simulation Society Workshop (IPSSW), with the 2023 theme being “Improving Pediatric Outcomes with Simulation: Human Factors and Technology”. The May 17-19 event in Lisbon, Portugal, brings renowned global experts to the world’s largest meeting dedicated exclusively to pediatric and perinatal simulation. The international conference will provide physicians, nurses, researchers, and educators with a platform for in-depth discussion on the role simulation plays to provide safe and effective care for children and infants and the continued expansion of pediatric simulation across the globe.
This webinar will also share key benefits and opportunities of becoming a member of the IPSS organization, including online research and community support tools.
