Abstract:
This webinar will provide participants with the background and evolution of the Western States Simulation Alliance (WSSA) which is comprised of 7 states. We will discuss how to sustain an alliance, create a business model and discuss alliance benefits. The WSSA is essentially a self-funded program. However, grant funding has helped sustain the model. We will review ways these grants have helped the WSSA. As we are strong believers in advocacy, we will discuss ways we advocate for simulation and our plans for the future. Partnerships are critical to the success of an alliance, and we will hear from Dan Micic, CEO of Medical Shipment, who will discuss their partnership with the WSSA and how we work together. We will wrap up by promoting the WSSA inaugural conference to be held this November in San Diego.
Learning Objectives:
- State at least 2 strategies to build or sustain a healthcare simulation collaborative alliance.
- Identify the components of a business model for a medical simulation alliance.
- Describe the importance of advocacy and partnerships for a successful clinical simulation alliance.
