It was in his prior role, as the Chief of Training, that he began to understand how healthcare simulation could provide experiential learning in both professional and academic settings. Scott specializes in the creation of instructional content and curricula for Elevate Healthcare’s internal partners and current customers. He holds an M. Ed in Instructional Design, with a focus on learning through the use of technology.
Stewart Brown is a Staff Clinical Educator at Elevate Healthcare. Previously, he spent 24 years in public safety, first as a paramedic then a Field Training Officer (FTO), ultimately managing the FTO program as a District Chief. Stewart’s desire for patient care pushed him in a clinical direction. He serves as an executive board member of the National Association of Field Training Officers and is a member of several organizations including the National Association of EMS Managers, National EMS Educators and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Stewart also maintains an American Heart Association Instructor certification in BLS, ALS and PALS. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida.
