I started my career as an RN working mostly in Pediatrics and Adult Cardiology & Med/Surg. units. I fell in love with simulation over 14 years ago when I returned to my Alma Mater, Alverno College, to work with undergraduate nursing students. Since that time, I have worked in all of the various roles that simulation has to offer. I was one of the first in our state to achieve the CHSE certification. Four years ago, I began my dream job of managing a hospital-based simulation center from construction to our first simulation. Since then, we have grown to support over 45 hours of simulation/week. The last few years have been a whirlwind of learning for the Simulation Team I work alongside. We pride ourselves on following the simulation standards and work towards improving patient safety at our hospital every single day.
