Abstract:
This session will outline the steps on building a sustainable simulation alliance. The California Simulation Alliance (CSA) was formed after the success of the Bay Area Simulation Alliance in 2008. The purpose of the alliance is education, research and policy for their subscribers, and we have written white papers that are available for all. The CSA has 7 regional simulation collaboratives in the state and over 4,000 members. The model has been replicated in other states and countries and is sustainable with no grant funding as we have several revenue sources.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify ways to create a clinical simulation alliance to better support improvements to healthcare education, training and patient safety.
- Articulate the mission and vision of the California Simulation Alliance.
- Identify key stakeholders you hope to participate in your alliance.
