Dr. Dan Irizarry, MD, is Tactical Medical Solutions Senior Medical Advisor. Retiring in 2018, “Dr. Dan” served 26 years in the US Army supporting medical and special operation force (SOF) organizations. Serving as the NATO SOF medical advisor, he designed and launched NATO’s first combat medical simulation center to train SOF medical personnel. In his final military assignment, he helped launch the DoD’s medical simulation acquisition and advanced development office in Orlando, FL. Today, he helps guide TacMed’s research and development efforts to ensure medical and simulation products meet the highest clinical standards.
John T Hayden III is a retired Special Forces Master Sergeant with over 22 years of military service. His Military Occupational Specialties include 18D (Special Forces Medic) 68W -W1 (Special Operations Medic) and 68W-W4 (Civil Affairs Medic). Since retiring from the Army in 2012 he has continued involvement with the US Military through his involvement with the Program Executive Office – Simulation Training and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) Medical Simulation and Training Center (MSTC) Program of Record and with the Defense Health Agency’s Medical Modeling and Simulation Office. He currently works as a Deputy Program Manager for MicroHealth LLC supporting multiple contracts for the PdM Medical Simulation PEO-STRI.
