At IPSSW 2015 HealthySim had a chance to connect with Naghmeh Shafiei MA, West Coast Eye Tracking Application Specialist for SMI SensoMotoric Instruments Inc. Naghmeh shared a powerful innovative tool called the SMI Eye Tracking Glasses, which enable a perfect real-time 1st person perspective with the ability to track eye movements on the viewing screen. Imagine being able to have your debriefing room learners watch the simulation experience unfold from the actual 1st person perspective of your primary learner, while simultaneously seeing where that primary learner is looking at all times. HealthySim saw the system first hand and its implications for medical simulation are outstanding.
The SMI hardware and software systems have already been utilized by the professional sports industry, automotive industry, food industry, educational industry and more.
