Last week over 105 medical simulation program administrators from around the globe participated online or in-person for the opening session of HealthySimAdmin – the world’s first broadcasted event designed to provide an open discussion to find administrative solutions for the “how to” of medical simulation. The 2-day recorded and live-streamed event was shot at the UNLV Greenspun Hall by students from the Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies, with financial support from the UNLV School of Nursing. Official sponsors Laerdal, Pocket Nurse and B-Line Medical were also onsite to support innovation in the field of medical simulation.
Hospitals, nursing programs, medical schools, and EMS providers from the US, Canada, Australia and Korea came together to watch the HealthySimAdmin opening ceremonies and UNLV School of Nursing Dean Carolyn Yucha’s presentation on “Collaborative Simulation Program Development (across disciplines and/or institutions)”.
Those who registered for the HealthySimAdmin.com event will also be provided access to watch and/or download the entire meeting recorded in HD.
Dean Yucha’s presentation, which streamed live to over 80 administrators watching from around the world, will be made available to the healthcare simulation community soon so stay tuned! For now, check out the introduction to HealthySimAdmin by meeting founder Lance Baily:
100% of participating administrators surveyed so far have responded that they would recommend other sim lab managers take part in a future HealthySimAdmin event!
