Laerdal Launches SimPad @ IMSH 2012

Today, Laerdal announced their “SimPad” at IMSH 2012 in San Diego. With over 5 years of development, this hand-held device will allow Laerdal users to easily control their vital sims (and eventually sim man 3Gs). Lance from HealthySimulation.com talks with Jon Laerdal about the product!

SimPad is designed to operate simulations from the palm of your hand.  Key to note is that the new GUI (user interface) on SimPad will soon spread to other Laerdal control devices like the SimMan 3G. The new mobile device is backwards compatible and Laerdal has a “Trade-in” request feature for your old vital-sim boxes.

Very cool, I keep waiting to hear about one of the major manikin manufacturers developing an iPad app to run their manikins so this is a good stepping stone.
